Jewels, gemstones, and precious metals; all coveted for their beauty, rareness, energy, and value. If you look in the mirror or down at your hands, what do you see and what do those little beauties mean to you? Maybe they take you back to a special time in your life when you were proposed to, or perhaps they remind you of a family member that passed, or a keepsake to remind you of a special place you visited. Perhaps that's where the real value lies - in the memories and sentimental value they represent.
Now let's talk about what you love to look at on your phone - the priceless memories that will live forever in your photos. I remember thinking as photos evolved into the digital age we wouldn't look at them as often as we did our albums but in reality, I don't know about you, but I look at my photos a lot more than I ever pulled out old albums. These rare pieces of jewelry and moments are so important to us that we justify the cost because those memories and what they symbolize are after all, priceless.
I don't mean to get all soft and sentimental on you but our area of Panama in December is all of those things making it a rare and precious gem. Morrillo is one of those hard to find places but if you try, and are willing to go the extra mile, you will be richly rewarded with it's beauty that very few people on the planet know about.
We are trying our best to share our place with the world and we always laugh when we ask our guests to tell their friends and family but instead they say: "I'm not telling anyone!" for fear of this remote area becoming crowded and losing the rare beauty that is now.
Can you imagine being in a place like this and seeing almost nobody else around? In a world of almost 8 billion people, we yearn to "get away" from it all from time to time which, we all know, is not easy to do. We humans are everywhere! That is, except Morrillo. This area of Panama has yet to be massively developed along the coast, the kind of place where only locals and their friends know about, gifting us with empty beaches, uncrowded waves, and lush jungles to hike through with just you, and those you choose to travel with.
December is when the life giving rains are almost done for the year but still just enough to cool off the afternoon, create powerful waterfalls, and nourish the jungle in a way that redefines the color green.
This is also traditionally a great time of year for fishing. When it comes to fishing you might get a different opinion from every person you ask. However, as the seas calm down, the water is more clear, and the trade winds start to cool off the surface temps, big game fish like sailfish, marlin, dorado, and tuna come closer to shore so we can hopefully talk them into giving up!
So my dear, as you dream about where to take a break from the cold winter month of December, we are here to make all your dreams come true and right now, we still have availability all month long! Come stay with us to create those precious memories in this special gem of a place.
