Christmas conjures images of Santa, snow, sleighs full of gifts, Christmas trees and cold weather, which is ironic considering most of the world's population live in areas that are above freezing this time of year. So, while you may not have snow or freezing temps, dreaming of a tropical travel destination probably sounds pretty awesome right about now.
A mug of mulled wine is the drink of Christmas like a rum drink served in a coconut with a paper umbrella and a pool in the background is definitely an iconic image that transports you to paradise.
Or at least makes you jealous of your friends posting that on Instagram right about now.
While that's all well and good, pools and umbrellas aren't really our style in Morrillo. Don't get me wrong, we are all about coconut water - what we call "Pipa" but we are more about straight from the source coconut water which tastes amazing. Oh, and we like rum too.
Coconuts are a symbol of purity, happiness, and well-being which totally makes sense given the myriad of things you can do with a coconut. So, when someone gifts you with a coconut on a hot day to drink, not only does it taste amazing, it's also a symbol of their love for you.
The water from the inside of a coconut is incredibly healthy for you. It naturally contains electrolytes, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, antioxidants, amino acids, natural sugars, and pure goodness. We grow the palm trees on our property that produce the sweet "Pipa" and we love it so much that Ryan has figured out how to offer it on tap in our bar!
With coconut water on tap, you will always be healthy and well hydrated here, and then of course, there are all the specialty rum cocktails we are ready to serve up too (straw and umbrella free).
Cheers my friends, we hope your holidays are amazing and the New Year finds you sipping on rum and pipa with us!

Sea Turtle Conservation Tip: Say no to using a plastic single use straw, it's more fun to drink this way anyways.
